Nutrition

When cats are away from home, their appetite often diminishes. We will try to replicate their eating habits and routines as they are at home.    

                      
                   
Accommodation
                               
Each cat is allocated their own private run which incorporates:

  • a sleeping area with thermostatically controlled heating and comfortable bedding. Many owners choose to bring their cat's own familiar bedding with them. 
  • Exercise area with scratching post, play toys and cat litter box
  • Secure perimeter doors with a view to the outside world and fresh air
  • Hygienic spit boards between runs to separate from neighbouring cats in line with licensing requirements
  • Larger runs are available for double occupancy and family groups but only for cats from the same household who are accustomed to being together.

Care for your cat
Our primary concern is that your cat has an enjoyable stay at Purrfect Retreat.

We will do all we can to ensure that the disruption caused by being away from home is kept to a minimum.

Cats are boarded in an environment which is not only tranquil and relaxing but also provides stimulation.




Routines
We try to maintain routines which foster a healthy diet and exercise and in line with what your cat is used to at home.

'TLC'

All cats love a bit of pampering and we do our best to get to know each cat we care for and give them the all important TLC.

 


Night time

We have piped music throughout the cattery. We cater for all types of night time antics including sleeping in washing machines!


Medication & health

If your cat is on medication, no problem. We can administer this as necessary according to your instructions.

Please let us know any health or medication issues at the time of booking.

We have a detached isolation cage should we need to isolate any cat to prevent spread of any infectious disease. This is a requirement under the license condition.

Should you cat become unwell we will follow your instructions. We also have relationships with our own vet and will use them as necessary.
